Teriyaki Chicken

If you have a sudden craving for those teriyaki chicken ordered in Japanese restaurant, you can easily prepare it at home under 30 minutes.



You can either use chicken thigh or chicken breast.If chicken breast is used, flatten the meat with a meat mallet while if chicken thigh is used, you can skip this step. Marinate with pepper on both sides and leave it for a few hours to let the flavor seeps into the meat.



Heat some oil in a frying pan until shimmer. Then add chicken to the heated oil. Flip the chicken after a few minutes and continue doing so until the skin or meat brownish color.

Next, remove the chicken from the frying pan and pour some teriyaki sauce to the pan. Add in some water, and bring to a boil.

For home DIY method, use soy sauce and honey. Continuously stir the mixture until the honey is dissolved.

When the teriyaki sauce is boiled, add in chicken to the pan. Boil for a few minutes so that the sauce can seep into the chicken.


Finally, it's chopping time. Cut the cooked teriyaki chicken into pieces and serve it with rice.


Oh yes, you can add in some veggies such as cucumber or carrot. I must say that this is one simple easy delicious dish to prepare.
